Welcome Back Carnival

The start of the new school year was celebrated in style at Jefferson’s Welcome Back Carnival. It brought together students, families, teachers, staff and community organizations for a fun-filled day.

More than 30 local agencies joined the festivity, offering giveaways like bags, pencils, frisbees and more. Many organizations also hosted craft projects, giving students the chance to create special keepsakes. The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office made a special appearance with their trained dog, Addie, while Anita’s Stevens Swan Humane Society showcased an adorable pup available for adoption.

Classic carnival treats like popcorn, cotton candy and snow cones added to the excitement.

The carnival was a wonderful opportunity for families to connect, celebrate and build community as the school year begins.
