District News: NYSED Blue Ribbon Commission Ambassador Forums for Public and Educators

In November 2023, the Blue-Ribbon Commission on Graduation Measures presented their recommendations for future diploma requirements to the Board of Regents. Since then, the Department created a vision to implement these recommendations.  Across the state, Blue Ribbon Ambassador Forums are being held in an effort to engage educators and members of the public regarding the recommendations.  Meeting attendees will have the opportunity to break into smaller groups to discuss and provide feedback to the Department on their proposed vision for implementing the recommendations of the Blue-Ribbon Commission on Graduation Measures. 

Regional forums for Madison, Herkimer and Oneida Counties will be hosted at OHM BOCES, on September 16 and 17.  Educators are encouraged to register for the educators’ forum, and members of the public are invited to register for the public forum.
