The Utica Školski okrug City pomaže učenicima da pronađu svoju karijeru tako što rano započinje sa STEM obrazovanjem. Kroz partnerstva sa lokalnim preduzećima, okrug upoznaje STEM koncepte sa učenicima od vrtića do drugog razreda kroz praktične aktivnosti, kao što su slaganje sa LEGO kockicama i korištenje Dash robota.
Studenti otkrivaju da se uzbudljive STEM karijere nalaze upravo ovdje u našoj zajednici. Neka od vodećih partnerstava su sa lokalnim industrijskim sponzorima kao što su Indium, Giotto Enterprises, National Grid, Wolfspeed i Trenton Technology.
Inovativni programi poput kompleta ABC STEM-a i inicijative Učenik sedmice donose ove koncepte u domove učenika. Ova iskustva potiču znatiželju i grade snažnu osnovu za buduće učenje u programima obrazovanja za karijeru i tehničko obrazovanje u osnovnim i srednjim školama.

In middle school, students in the Utica City School District explore new opportunities through hands-on, project-based learning. Here learning isn't just about knowledge, it is about taking the first steps toward a future full of possibility.
Whether it's coding and robotics in the lab, experimenting with FANUC robotic arms, or seeing how food grows on the hydroponic grow wall, they are experiencing education in a cutting edge form.
Events such as the STEM Expo at SUNY Poly give students a look at all 12 career pathways and a preview of the new Proctor Career and Technical Education Center opportunities. These experiences help students see how their learning connects to future options, while also building confidence.
Every class is designed to spark interest, giving students the chance to try, create, and discover. This pathway is part of a journey opening their eyes to new possibilities and giving them a glimpse of what awaits them at the new Proctor Career and Technical Education Center.

At Proctor High School, the future is now. Raiders create, transform, and empower. At Utica's new Career and Technical Education Center, opportunity meets possibility.
Over the past two years, the Utica City School District has seized an opportunity to work with over 250 partners to help create the pathways that are included in the Career and Technical Education Center. Over 250 local businesses, government agencies, and educational organizations came together to design 12 career pathways that align with community needs.
This program builds on the district's K-12 approach, where students gain awareness in elementary school and explore career options in middle school. By high school, they have a strong foundation to make an informed decision about their future. Students can also participate in off-campus, work-based learning experiences that align with their chosen pathway.
The CTE Center aims to positively impact the city by helping students develop skills, explore different career paths, and create a successful future. The district is a leader in this work, aligning with New York State expectations for public education and empowering every student to succeed.
This initiative of a new C.T.E. wing addition to Proctor High School, shines a light on the Utica City School District as a leader in this work.
